Facility Manager - San Antonio, TX

Location: San Antonio, TX

KOMAN Eco Services is looking for a Facility Manager to provide on-site administrative support at Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA), TX. The Facility Manager will be responsible for the performance of maintenance operations of multi-military facilities including oversight and physical inspections, coordination of repairs, oversight of maintenance policies and procedures for properties under his/her supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage tasks/projects as assigned ensuring that appropriate responsibilities are met as identified by the Program/Project Manager
  • Ensure all work follows the client’s site/program requirements
  • Organize and implement programs that are assigned to this position onsite at the Special Warfare Training Wing
  • Assist with the management, scheduling and execution of projects
  • Assist with planning, database support, training, and drafting procedures submittals
  • Prepare reports, letters, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Identify project requirements
  • Evaluate contractor’s proposals if necessary
  • Review documents for technical adequacy and assist with technical manuals
  • Maintain ongoing and open two-way communication with Program Manager, Project Manager, and client
  • Provide technical expertise to assigned tasks/projects
  • Conduct assigned technical work within budget and on schedule
  • Conduct research, or other field work, as assigned
  • Attend, participate, organize, and/or facilitate meetings as requested by the client
  • Maintain daily time tracking for time sheet using project charge numbers as appropriate
  • Some travel may be required
  • Some field work may be required
  • Other tasks as assigned

Education/Certifications:

  • Associate’s degree (preferred).

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Common Access Card (CAC) preferred or able to obtain.
  • Minimum or three (3) years’ experience as a Facility Manager supporting government facilities (preferred).
  • Knowledge of a comprehensive range of principles, concepts, and practices concerning complex technical requirements for facilities and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety and security practices for government facilities.
  • Multi-skilled in electrical, mechanical, drywall, painting, concrete repairs, HVAC maintenance, roof systems, and housekeeping.
  • Expertise with programs in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Prior Air Force experience preferred.
  • Facility Manager Professional certification a plus.
  • Motivated self-starters requested.
