KOMAN Government Solutions (KGS) has an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Project Manager (PM) / Program Manager (PGM) to lead our Northeastern business operations managed out of our corporate headquarters in Marlborough MA. This position is hybrid and The Senior PM/PGM will lead business operations, provide line supervision of 10-15 technical staff members, support business development and proposals, and manage all aspects of environmental investigation, remediation, O&M, and LTM projects and programs for our Federal customers.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading environmental projects, supervising and mentoring staff, be detail-oriented, organized, dependable, resourceful, and able to perform well under the pressure of multiple deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITES:
- Contract Management: Oversee and manage federal contracts to ensure conformance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) and other agency and federal requirements. Contracts may include indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity (IDIQ) single award task order contracts (SATOCs) and multiple award task order contracts (MATOCs), standalone contracts, and subcontracts supporting Federal clients.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee all project activities, including work planning, project reviews and forecasting, quality control, invoicing, and staff performance reviews, ensuring successful project execution from start to finish.
- Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage complex, multi-disciplinary environmental projects, ensuring collaboration among internal teams, teaming partners, subcontractors, and clients while delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.
- Client Relationship Management: Mentor staff in managing client relationships, participate in client meetings, and facilitate problem resolution, ensuring ongoing client satisfaction and project success. Partner with the HR team to oversee employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and career.
- Staff Leadership and Development: Manage the growth and professional development of technical staff, providing mentorship, direct supervision, and guidance in project management and client engagement.
- Business Development: Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, fostering relationships with clients, and preparing proposals for future projects.
- Proposal Preparation and Risk Management: Lead proposal development for new environmental restoration projects, including scope definition, risk assessment, and pricing strategies.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Lead project managers in the development, execution, and review of a wide range of environmental documents to ensure all documents and deliverables meet company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering; Geology, Environmental Science, or related field required.
- Certification/Registration: Professional certification/registration in a relevant field such as, Professional Geologist (PG), Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including environmental restoration project and program management experience for federal agencies.
- Leadership and Team Building: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring project success and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Project Management Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities and deadlines across multiple projects/programs.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to edit, oversee, and prepare high-quality technical reports with attention to detail.
- Negotiation and Problem-Solving: Exceptional skills in negotiation, problem-solving, and production of high-quality deliverables, with a track record of successfully fulfilling commitments on schedule.
