The KOMAN Family of Companies is looking for an experienced Managing Director, Construction to plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee operations activities across the sector, ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of the organization. The Managing Director , Construction provides guidance, support and oversight of Construction Division’s management personnel for executing business strategy which deliver outstanding services to customers and achieve goals for profitable and sustainable growth, ethical and compliant operations, and shareholder returns. Provide leadership and direction for all aspects of business sector, evaluate operational processes and procedures, assist in developing strategies and implementation plans for continuous improvement with the Constriction Division. Responsible for the overall operating performance of the Construction Division, monitoring and controlling construction operations through oversite and direction of holdings level business sector employees and Subsidiary General Managers, Project Managers/Estimators and other senior construction staff, coordinate development of and oversee execution of short and long-term strategic planning, to include tracking, reporting, and making course adjustments and corrective actions as needed to meet Company goals and objectives. Oversee daily business operations by providing leadership and guidance to managers and other staff, develop and implement accompanying growth strategies, manage Construction Business Sector budgets, evaluate company performance and productivity to include analyzing accounting and financial data routinely to ensure Business Sector P&L goals are met, maintain open communication with the corporate office and provide routine reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the organization’s construction division. Must excel in balancing both profitability and mission.
- Collaborates with executive leadership and General Managers of the subsidiaries to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on construction projects and systems.
- Lead, coach, and manage the business sector team to ensure top performance of all team members and achieve desired results while finding efficient and effective solutions that create overall organizational value.
- Responsible for all facets of the business sector including, sales, estimating, employee hiring and retention, customer relations, budgeting, construction operations, strategic planning and P&L of the business sector.
- Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Oversee development team and on-site project managers during every phase of a project including conceptualization, preliminary design, financing, construction project management, operations and asset management.
- Develop Project financial reporting methods, working with subsidiary General Managers and Accounting staff, to ensure that budgets, commitments and expenditures are tracked up to date and that correct reports are being communicated.
- As problems are recognized with budgets or schedules, assist General Managers, project managers in identifying and implementing corrective action.
- Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Oversee business sector General Managers, project management, business development, estimating, finance, human resources e.g.
- Ensures that Risk Management processes are followed in line with industry standard practice or Company policy limiting company liability to the maximum extent possible.
- Ensures that departmental decisions and project plans such as those for staffing, development, organization, material efficiency, hardware acquisitions, and facilities are in line with the organizations business plan and vision.
- Establishes, communicates, and implements construction operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Collaborate and serve as liaison with local and government officials as required.
- Establishes and administers the department’s budget.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, engineering, or other industry-related field or equivalent experience required.
- At least 15 years of industry-related experience including five years in upper management required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
